Hey guys. So, I had a broken finger scare. I thought it was broken 'cuz it was way fatty and bruised 'cuz it got hit when I was playing softball. Anyway, it's not broken, and I'm okay. It was weird though because when I checked into the hospital they asked me if I had a religious preference. Another weird thing happened today at lunch. I was sitting next to these girls that I don't know, and one said the other "Are you going to the liquor store today? We're out of rum." So that was interesting.

I'm so fucking tired. And I just heard this song, and it's basically how I feel, but there's no one to fix me...

Coldplay - "Fix You"
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
when you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Damn this was the wrong song to listen to...

Heather Nova - "Paper Cup"
Wishful thinking I might be yours
Drifting on every step
I'm always drawn to the dark horse
sweet, sweet , oh nothing's said

And every dream, every, is just a dream after all
And everything stands so still when you dance
Everything spins so fast
And the night's in a paper cup
When you want it to last

Wishful thinking you might be mine
Every shiver sends
One breath under the bridge of sighs
Bending where the river bends

And every dream, every, is just a dream after all

And everything stands so still when you dance
Everything spins so fast
And the night's in a paper cup
When you want it to last

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've written. I'm already in Arkansas if you didn't know, but then again some people have been known to stay inside all summer. Anyway, school is going pretty well so far. Orientation week was really busy, and this past week was Welcome Week, so there have been lots of activities going on. I've been a little home sick, but that's expected. I haven't made and "real" friends yet. There's a few people that I hang out with, but I haven't found any one that I click with. My roommate is okay I guess. We're usually not in the room at the same time, which I like because then I can basically do what I want. She's a little more out going than me, she already has a couple of "good friends." I just like to see what's going on before I get involved.

So the classes that I'm taking are astronomy, introduction to film studies, Spanish 2 (I surprisingly tested out of Spanish 1), and then there are these 2 other classes that freshmen are required to take called Journeys and Explorations. Journeys is like TOK, sort of. Well, there are seminars where it's just 15 students, and then there are lectures where all Journeys classes go. But we just read the Allegory of the cave, so we were discussing what's real. Anyway, it was interesting. Um, yea. So all my classes have been fine so far. I'm excited, I've got no mid term or final in Spanish. Hahaha! And film studies is cool because we get to watch movies and then discuss the artistic elements of them. Astronomy, I don't know if I'll like it or not. It's kinda easy so far, but we'll see.

I like going to a small school, there's not that many people. I think my biggest class has 30 students, and my smallest has 11. So it's pretty cool. Yep, there's a lot of events too. There's this tradition called Shirttails, where the freshmen learn a song and dance and then perform for each of the dorms, well the girls perform for the boys, and the boys perform for the girls. It was fun learning the dance and stuff, but my dorm lost. It was okay though because the girls dorm that won had never won, and there's was pretty good. It was either going to be us or them. Luckily the raunchy dirty dances didn't win. Eww. Anyway, yea then after that there was a concert here, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. It was really good, except for the fact that there were tons of drunk people there and I've never been around drunk people and I don't know how to deal with them, so that pissed me off. Then after that my friends wanted to find a party at Martin (a boy's dorm aka the party dorm) but I didn't want to go because I'm sure there would be plenty more drunk people. Sheesh. I'll go to a party eventually, I'm just not comfortable yet. I hardly know anyone. I don't like going to parties where I don't know anyone because then I don't have fun. So yea...

Anyway, I think this post was long enough. I hope you guys are having fun at school, or having fun with the rest of your summer. Good luck to all of you. :-)

Hey friends! Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. I've been uber busy with softball, considering we went to Canada and Texas. Canada was okay. They suck at breakfast. No Mexican food, or Mexicans for that matter. Vancouver was nice. Um, we played a few Canada teams and a couple from out of state, like Florida, and Washington. That's about it. The week after that we had a tournament in Irvine. We didn't do so well, but we were playing gold teams. Then last week we were in Texas. It was nice I guess. Really hot though, and humid. Luckily we got to play a lot of our games at night. Yea, we came in the top quarter, 34th of 130 (or something like that). Well after we were done in the tournament we went back to Houston. We visited Galveston, it was pretty nice. I got to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. The water was pretty warm, but the waves weren't very high. It was fun though. We went to Crystal Beach, and to rent a beach house about 2 blocks from the water is $100 a night. It's a house, that's really close to the water, for $100. That's crazy. Houses are really cheap out there too. Well I guess anywhere is cheaper than CA.

So I only have a the rest of this week and next week in Cali then I move to Arkansas. If you want to hang out with me before I go call me up and I'll see if I can pencil you in. :-) Hehe. I'll try and visit y'all before I go. See you guys later, have a nice rest of your summer.
