I'm tired of getting in trouble

Dammit. So my coach makes all the freshmen go to study hall, as well as anyone else who does not have a 3.0 GPA. So last night my friends Lauren, Heather, and I did not study. Well, I was trying, but Lauren has ADD and she was acting way weirder than normal. So anyone, the bitches on the team told on us. I don't understand why people have to tell on you. Seriously. And then people aren't supposed to drink 48 hours before a practice or game, but they did. Ugh. Pisses me off. So we get told on because we weren't studying and they go out and drink? Fuck that. Who tells!? Seriously. Oh, so our punishment is to run a mile after every practice, and then we have an extra study hall next week.

So anyway, it's like every 2-3 weeks I have to get in trouble. I can't deal when people yell at me. I know nobody likes to get yelled at, but I don't know how to deal with it. Yea, whatever.

This weekend is going to suck. Saturday I have to get up at 5:30 AM to go work with dogs? Yea, I know. It's so that the softball team gets money. Damn. When the hell do I get to sleep in!? Shit.

Ugh, tonight Ahren and I are going to see Saul Williams. He's some cool poet I guess. Hopefully that will be good. He's so sweet. Anyway, I better get ready for practice so I'm not late, or else I'll get yelled at again. YAY.

What it's like to be a Californian during a tornado...

Jebus. That was traumatic. My first tornado. Actually, I don't really know where the tornado was. On the news they had warnings. Well, I was trying to take a nap and three people came to the door. The third was my RA Allison who told me that there was a tornado watch and that if I heard the siren I should go downstairs with a pillow. See, they have a siren for the town of Conway that goes off as a tornado warning. They play it every Wednesday regardless. Well anyway, I couldn't nap after she told me that. I got scared. So I watched the news for a little bit, but then it went back to scheduled programming. Well about 10-15 mintues later the siren went off...

I grabbed my blanket and pillow and went downstairs. Luckily I saw my friend Mac and sat next to her. Within 2 minutes I was really really scared and started to get misty eyed. Then I couldn't hold back, I cried. Everyone else though was having a grand old time sitting in the hallway, making jokes, etc. Then there's me, crying, poor little California girl. Well, about 15-20 minutes later it was all clear. It was traumatic. Erg. I still haven't eaten dinner yet. Anyway, I'm okay, and everyone I know is okay. Scary stuff.

Apparently tornados happen all the time around here...sheesh. My friend Ahren (from OK) said that back home when tornados happen, people go outside. Damn. Crazy crazy crazy. I can't handle this shit! Give me earthquakes, not tornados. Earthquakes 10 x better. At least they don't move 25 mph in a given direction. Aghh...

Interesting News

So they changed the shower curtains in my residence hall. They're much lighter than the ones that were in there before. It makes it seem like there is more light, which is good. Well, that's what I think.

I should probably go to bed now, considering it's 1:45 am here. I've been having weirdo sleeping patterns lately. And I've been taking naps and stuff. And I also got in trouble for making a dumb poster that said "Do you like balls?" on it. Fuck man. Give me a break. It was only a poster. Now I've got to apologize to the president of the college. Fan-diddly-tastic. Everyone thinks it's stupid, which so do I. There have been worse things on this campus besides "Do you like balls?" Yea, how about this one dorm that for Faux Rush Week is calling itself "EZ HOES." Whatev. Also they had a picture of a mountain that looked like a giant dick. My poster wasn't that bad. But it also wasn't my idea either. It was the two other girls, and I was the dumbass who let them. Shit. Anyway, hopefully life will get better quickly.

It's dark in here. My roommate may be asleep. I do not know. But I'm getting paranoid. I'm going to sleep. Yay, class starts "late" for me tomorrow, 9:45 am!

Don't let life take you down.

Hey Hey Hey

Sooo, what's going on with everyone? Ugh, my stupid finger still hurts...damn it. Anyway, my radio show is going to be on Sunday nights at 10. For all you people in the west, that's 8 pm your time. So be sure to listen in, www.hendrix.edu/khdx. Okie. Well, this weekend has been pretty exciting. Not. I had to do work study yesterday, and I might do the same today. See, I work for my coach, and she was the game administrator for the soccer game. So these other girls, Lauren, Heather, and I, had to be the ball girls. That means whenever a ball would go out of bounds we had to get it for them. Lame. It was hot and sunny, and it's even hotter today. I hope that we really don't have to work today. It's a possibility, but I bet we'll have to because that's the way life goes. Boo. Anyway, other than that life is good. We went to this Mexican place for dinner last night. It was pretty good, it was called "Los Amigos." Anyway, driving around here is weird, well, I'm not the one driving, but it's weird. Sooo, I hope you guys are having a nice 3 day weekend. Good luck to everyone starting school this week. Blah.

Hey friends!

Guess what. I'm going to have my own radio show. That's right. Radio show, for the school's radio station. And they have streaming web casts so you all can listen. Just go to www.hendrix.edu/khdx.
I don't know what time or what day my show is exactly, but when I find out I'll let you know. Sweet. Okay, in other news my finger is better (yay!), I bought my own domain name, and my roommate has taken up the hobby of rolling her own cigarettes. So anyway, my website is luckyredshoes.com, but there's nothing on there yet. I'll make it cool, considering it's costing me like $80 a year. Well, for these next 2 years. We'll see if I keep it after that. Anyway, have a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend.
